1-Logitech G502 Hero

As usual, the Logitech G502 is and will always be one of the greatest gaming mice that one can purchase. It’s an all-rounder mouse that can serve you for different types of games while providing you with amazing performance.

The Logitech G502 comes with an ergonomic shape perfect for right-hand users. It has a matte coating and a large thumb rest that you can rely on for long fights.

The mouse works well with a claw grip style, but it might be different for you based on your hand size.

The reason why the Logitech G502 is an all-rounder gaming mouse is because of its high-quality sensor that offers amazing in-game accuracy, as well as its 11 total programmable buttons that can be super handy for MMO & MOBA games.

What is also cool with this mouse is its adjustable weight. Logitech G502’s initial weight is around 118g, but you can increase it up to 143g in case you like heavy mice.

Lastly, for an eye-appealing design, the Logitech G502 highlights two RGB zones that are customizable using Logitech G-hub software. This latter is user-friendly, and we believe you won’t face any issues utilizing it.

What could have been better?

There are two areas that we see as downsides. First of all, it is the size of the Logitech G502. It’s unfortunately not suitable for small hands users due to its large size.

Also, as we have mentioned above, the basic weight of the Logitech G502 is 118g which might be slightly heavy for users that are used for lightweight mice.

Pros
  • Comfortable shape
  • High-quality sensor
  • Adjustable weight
  • Built with premium material
Cons
  • Heavy

2-Razer Viper Ultimate

If you are looking to dominate the table score and hold the first position in every game you play, then you will definitely need the Razer Viper Ultimate.

The Razer Viper Ultimate is a wonderful wireless gaming mouse for FPS games. It’s loaded with amazing features, equipped with a high-quality sensor that will allow you to make some quick and outstanding headshots.

The mouse feels very light, especially when compared to other wireless gaming mice. In addition to that, the sensor is mind-blowing, and we didn’t experience any type of input lag.

The Razer Viper Ultimate comes with a textured matte finish along with rubber grips on both sides. This type of coating is mandatory for a good grip, especially for those who suffer from sweaty hands.

Another great advantage of the Razer Viper Ultimate is its charging dock. This feature allows you to charge the mouse with ease when you are AFK (Away From Keyboard).

The clicking experience, travel time, and switches lifespan are all great with the Razer Viper Ultimate. Besides, this mouse’s switches are rated for up to 70 million clicks which is outstanding.

Unlike some other brands, Razer’s claim regarding the Razer Viper Ultimate battery life is indeed true. We did manage to reach around 70 hours of use after a single charge with lighting off and a 1,000 Hz polling rate.

We didn’t try the mouse with the lighting enabled, but we believe that once turning the LEDs on with the Razer Viper Ultimate, the mouse will have an average battery life similar to the Logitech G Pro Wireless.

Lastly, the Razer Viper Ultimate is available in Black, Yellow CyberPunk, White, and Pink. Therefore, even if you are building a girly gaming rig, the Razer Viper Ultimate will still remain an excellent option to choose.

What could have been better?

Users with fingertip grip style might find some difficulties reaching the side buttons as they are slightly pushed on the rear of the mouse.

Pros
  • Rated for up to 70 million clicks
  • Long-lasting battery life
  • Comfortable Ambidextrous shape
  • Excellent sensor
Cons
  • Side buttons might be difficult to reach for users with fingertip grip style
  • Expensive

3-Logitech G Pro

Even with good cable management, having wires covering your desk is inevitable. That’s why we always recommend wireless devices for a clean gaming rig. And if this is what you are looking for, then it’s time for us to introduce you to the Logitech G Pro wireless.

The G Pro is another high-quality gaming mouse from Logitech with a wireless connection. It’s lightweight, has a comfortable shape, and features an amazing battery life.

The wireless connection is flawless, and we didn’t notice any input delay. If you add this along with its lightweight, then you will have a mind-blowing mouse for FPS games.

The Logitech G Pro comes with two side buttons on each side. The good thing with these buttons is the fact that they are removable in case you don’t use them.

Based on our test and researches, the Logitech G Pro did last for around 48 hours with RGB enabled and more than 60 hours when turning the LED off. This battery life is excellent, and you won’t need to worry about leaving in the middle of the battlefield due to the mouse running out of energy.

Lastly, if 48 hours of use is enough for you and you would like to enjoy the lighting effects, the Logitech G Pro’s LEDs can be easily customized using Logitech G Hub software.

What could have been better?

The only drawback with the Logitech G Pro is its current price tag. We concluded that the mouse is indeed amazing, yet, the features don’t justify its high price tag.

Pros
  • Ambidextrous layout
  • Wireless connection
  • Up to 60 hours on a single charge
  • Lightweight
Cons
  • Slightly expensive

4-Corsair Scimitar Pro RGB

Some MMO games’ characters tend to be a bit difficult to master as they have plenty of different skills. Besides, there are some abilities that have to be executed as quickly as possible in order to protect your entire raid, for example.

That’s why MMO and MOBA players tend to choose more often a mouse with plenty of additional buttons, such as the Corsair Scimitar Pro.

With a total of 17 buttons, the Corsair Scimitar Pro is the perfect mouse that will make you forget your gaming keyboard once and for all. In addition to that, it showcases some stunning RGB lighting on its side buttons, scroll wheel, and Corsair logo.

The Corsair Scimitar Pro is equipped with Omron switches that are rated for up to 50 million clicks.

Besides, this mouse has a comfortable shape, a high-quality sensor, and a DPI range of up to 16,000. Also, even though it’s designed primarily for MMO & MOBA games, thanks to its amazing sensor, it can easily be used for other types of games, such as first-person shooter games.

What could have been better?

Corsair Scimitar Pro’s software isn’t as good as we wanted it to be. We had faced many bugs, which result in a non-user-friendly experience.

Pros
  • 17 Programmable buttons
  • Comfortable shape
  • Eye-appealing LED effect
Cons
  • The software isn’t user-friendly (during the time of test)

5-SteelSeries Rival 3

If your budget is your main concern and you feel like it’s impossible to have an enjoyable experience, then you are wrong. And what you are about to discover will completely change your ideas.

Despite its affordable price, the SteelSeries Rival 3 comes with a sturdy ABS plastic construction that gives it excellent longevity. In addition to that, it has a matte finish texture and offers a comfortable experience.

This mouse is designed for right-handed users with Claw or Fingertip grip style. What we also like with the SteelSeries Rival 3 is its lightweight. Basically, it doesn’t require any force to slip it around, allowing you to make some incredible moves.

The SteelSeries Rival 3 highlight 3 different RGB zones that are customizable using SteelSeries’ software. The LEDs are bright, eye-appealing, and they will heavily enhance the beauty of your gaming rig.

You may be wondering why we have chosen the SteelSeries Rival 3 over the Corsair Harpoon to hold the crown of the best budget beginner gaming mouse. It’s simply because we believe that the SteelSeries Rival 3 is better.

Compared to the Corsair Harpoon, the SteelSeries Rival 3 comes with 8 programmable buttons instead of 6 and supports onboard memory. This doesn’t mean that the Corsair Harpoon is a bad mouse; far from that. We just believe that the SteelSeries Rival 3 represents better value for money.

What could have been better?

During our test, we find out that the side buttons are a bit difficult to reach. This is personal, and it might not be the case for you. However, we felt like it needed to be mentioned.

Pros
  • Budget-friendly
  • High-quality sensor
  • Beautiful RGB lighting
  • Onboard memory
Cons
  • The side buttons felt a bit difficult to reach
